Schedule:
Friday, September 24
4 - 7 pm: We will meet on zoom. I’ll begin with a short introduction, will go over materials and some techniques for working with watercolor and colored pencil. We will do some warm-ups, enter metadata for our nature journal pages, and practice sketching subjects up close.
Saturday, September 25
9 - 11 am: We will meet on zoom. I’ll answer any questions and we can go over work from Friday. We will talk about mixing colors and sketching landscapes.
11 am - 12:30 pm: Sketching time and lunch.
12:30 pm - 2 pm: We will get back on zoom and share our work from the morning. We will talk about sketching moving subjects and animals and tools for telling stories in our nature journals.
2 -3 pm: Sketching time
3 - 5 pm: We get back on zoom to share work and answer questions. I’ll share some more techniques for working with mixed media and other tools and tricks.
5 - 7 pm: No formal instruction, but I’ll be available to answer questions or chat.
